The Ángel Kellie I speedboat is the most modern and comfortable vessel serving tourists and residents in Galápagos — the cabin is spacious. The vessel is part of a group of nearly 40 speedboats that provide daily service from Santa Cruz island to Isabela, San Cristóbal and Floreana, with morning and afternoon round trips. Before departure, a member of the Ecuadorian Navy checks that every passenger is wearing a life vest.

At the head of the company that operates this exceptional sea transport unit are the husband and wife William Méndez and Amparito Aguirre, along with their children. The Méndez Aguirre family began in Galápagos maritime transportation in 2009, with a 10-passenger vessel; the couple is a case of migrants who came from mainland Ecuador and made their way contributing to the development of the islands.
The vessel is 16 meters long and four meters wide, spacious, safe and stable. It has capacity for 43 passengers and 1,200 horsepower, with four 300 HP engines.
